Overview

Experience the best of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia on our 10-day cultural walking tour of Southeast Asia. With an expert local guide, you’ll begin in Saigon with an exploration of the city and a cruise down the Mekong River in a traditional boat. Walk through gardens and fields to meet with locals, such as a former Viet Cong soldier, a family of fishermen, and the owners of a rice noodle factory.  Visit the famed Cu Chi Tunnels, the seaport of Hoi An, and relax on China Beach before heading to Danang. You’ll have the opportunity to stroll along rice fields, market gardens, and picturesque villages in and around Hanoi. Your local guide will share local customs as you learn about and visit pagodas, Hindu monuments, and Buddhist temples. Stay overnight on a luxury junk boat in Halong Bay as you soak in the scenery of emerald waters and coastal cliffs. In Luang Prabang, visit a 2,000-acre elephant sanctuary, walk past stunning waterfalls, and visit with locals in Ban Ansavane and Yen Duc villages.  Your exploration ends with a night in Cambodia to explore Siem Reap, watch the sun set over Angkor War, and join the moving alms ritual with Buddhist monks.
