Explore with us the steep slate hills and deep river valleys of the Mosel, home to the most highly regarded rieslings in the world. We’ll visit the Dr. Loosen estate, nestled in quaint, timbered Bernkastel-Kues village for a personalized introduction to Germany’s famous wine region. We will take in the breathtakingly steep Grand Cru riesling vineyards rising up from the banks of the Mosel River as we cruise down the river and sip wines sourced from the famous vineyards we pass. The memorable final night’s meal will be a perfectly prepared five-course journey through local delicacies as Ernst ”Erni” Loosen opens up his legendary personal cellar to share vinous gems from Germany and beyond. You’ll blend your own Mosel riesling from Dr. Loosen’s the legendary vineyards.

Our Mosel winemaking partner is the iconic Mosel estate Dr. Loosen and its charming and charismatic current owner, Ernst “Erni” Loosen. Realizing the potential of his family’s very old vines, Loosen shifted to organic vineyard practices and began pursuing a gentler style of production when he took over in 1988. These choices allow the Mosel’s world-class terroir to truly shine through, granting our members and guests otherwise impossible access to the finest, most authentic riesling grapes the region has to offer.

We will stay in Dr. Loosen’s guesthouse, which is adjacent to the estate house in Bernkastel-Kues. Here, you can end the day with a glass of estate riesling in their tastefully appointed private rooms, each bearing the names of their top vineyards. There is also a large terrace where you can enjoy a glass or two of wine while taking in the incredible view of the vineyards and the Mosel River.
